Create and customize tags

Label requests, equipment, locations, and users so you can filter, route, and report on them.

Tags are labels you attach to records to group and find them. They power saved views and filters across your tables, and they can drive dispatch routing (a Service Request Tag can send matching requests to a specific provider or team). Tags are organized into four types, each managed separately: Service Request, Equipment, Location, and User.

Open Settings → Organization → Tags. Each type has its own box showing its existing tags as colored chips, with an "Enter a tag name" field to add more.

Create a tag

  1. On the Tags tab, find the section for the type you want — Service Request, Equipment, Location, or User.
  2. Click the "Enter a tag name" field in that section and type the new tag's name.
  3. Press Enter. The tag appears as a chip in that section, ready to use on records of that type.

Customize a tag's name or color

  1. Click an existing tag chip to open the Customize Tag panel.
  2. Edit the Name if you want to rename it.
  3. Use the Color picker (drag in the color field, set the hue, or enter a hex value) to give the tag a distinct color so it stands out in lists.
  4. Click Save.

Remove a tag

Click the ✕ on a tag chip to delete it. Removing a tag takes it off the records it was applied to, so confirm it's no longer needed first.

Where tags show up

  1. On records: apply tags to service requests, equipment, locations, and users of the matching type.
  2. In tables: filter and build saved views by tag to focus on a slice of work.
  3. In dispatch: a Service Request Tag can be used as a routing rule to auto-assign matching requests — see Set up dispatch routing rules.
