Search Bricks
Find service requests, equipment, locations, and users from any page.
Click Search in the top bar (or press / on your keyboard) to open the search panel. It searches across all of Bricks, whatever page you're on.
What you can search for
Under Search for, check the types of records you want:
- Service Request
- Equipment
- Location
- User
At least one box must be checked. If nothing is checked, you'll see None found even when a match exists.
Hover over a box and click Only to search just that type.
Turn on Show Deactivated to include deactivated records.
Shortcuts: search by ID
Type a record's ID and Bricks checks the right box for you:
- SR followed by the number (for example, SR12345): checks Service Request.
- EQ followed by the number: checks Equipment.
For anything else, such as a location name, a person's name, or a description, check the box you need yourself.
Steps
- Click Search in the top bar.
- Type what you're looking for.
- If it's not an SR or EQ number, check the record type(s) under Search for.
- Click a result to open it.
Click Clear to start over.
What the results show
- Service requests: title, location, priority and status, and the SR number.
- Equipment: name, location, status (for example, Active), and the EQ number.
Tip: Searching for an invoice? Global search doesn't cover invoices. Use the Search box on the Costs page instead (see Track spending on the Costs page).
Technicians: the search bar at the bottom of the Work view only searches the work list you're looking at. Use this top-bar search when you need to find something anywhere in Bricks. See Find work: Search, Advanced Search, and Global Search.
