Add a location in Equips

Locations live under Assets → Locations. Create the location first, then set its hierarchy afterward.

Steps

1. On the Locations page, click Create Location (top right).
2. Fill in Location Information:
   • Name (required)
   • Number — your internal code (recommended)
   • Tags — optional labels for grouping
   • Contacts — expand to add point-of-contact info
3. Fill in the Address (Equips uses it to infer the timezone; you can also set Timezone manually).
4. Click Save.

Set the hierarchy after saving. Parent and sub-locations are assigned only after the location exists — see Edit a location and set its hierarchy.
