Edit a piece of equipment
Update one asset's details, add context, and use quick actions.
Open any asset's detail page to change its details, add notes or photos, and start work. To change many items at once, use Bulk update equipment instead.
Steps
- From the Equipment list, click the equipment's Number to open its detail page.
- Click the pencil icon next to the name to edit category, manufacturer, model, serial number, and more.
- Add context with the tabs: Service Requests, Notes, Coverage, Modifications, QR Code. You can also upload a photo and add Tags.
- Use the Options menu (top right) for quick actions:
- View Equipment at Location, View Service Requests, View Preventive Maintenance
- Change Location — move this single item
- Start Service Request, Schedule Preventive Maintenance
- Deactivate, Remove Coverage
